În contextul World of Tank, clanul reprezintă factori-cheie pentru perfomanța și succesul atat personal cat si de grup-echipa. Un clan nu este o simplă proprietate deținută de către unul sau mai multi jucatori, un clan este un parteneriat, o comunitate de oameni care împărtășesc valori și obiective identice. Performanța și succesul unui clan, în ansamblu, nu se datorează realizărilor unui singur individ, ci eforturilor comune ale membrilor săi sau, cu alte cuvinte a muncii în echipă. Clanul și munca în echipă sunt superioare efortului individual din punct de vedere al abilităților de rezolvare a problemelor și de luare a deciziilor (pentru că, nu-i așa, “unde-s doi, puterea crește”). Persoanele care lucrează în echipă, spre deosebire de cele care acționează individual, beneficiază de resurse mai vaste de cunoștințe și experiență.
